Excuse my nerdy-ness.

Hello Bloggers! Xtina here. I figure we need a new blog post and I haven't really made a fully non-store related post so here goes...
I'm not sure if you're aware, but this week something amazing has happened. The first installment of the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows finale has been released! (Yes, I am completely aware how ridiculously nerdy I am. But there has to be a couple of our cool bloggers that appreciate a bit of Magic!)

But why am I so excited? Because they're doing it right this time by making it two parts. Yeah, yeah I know a lot of people think that splitting one book into two movies is some ploy from the movie industry to get more money, but I really approve of it. For one, The Deathly Hallows book is 784 pages long with 36 Chapters. Do you really think all of that could be summed up in one two hour movie? Heck no. The Deathly Hallows book (for those who haven't read it) is immensely intricate. The genius of Jo Rowling connected ideas and themes all the way from the first book to the last so that reading the books more than once is almost a requirement. Enough of that rambling.

Here's another superfluos opinion section:
The Prisoner of Azkaban (3rd) is my favorite of the Potter films - Why? The visuals, the stylistic jumps, and all the small details. The third film made the jump from the second movie being a kids film to a darker more intricate world that showed the good and bad potential of magic.
The Goblet of Fire (4th) is my least favorite - Why? Ew. It was the shortest film and almost the longest book. What?! There was no passage of time, the editing was horrible. Scene changes and chapter jumps were just redick. And the humor in the script was not to my liking. They tried to be snarky and witty, but they failed. (And I'm a fan of British humor, ex:Monty Python) I could go on all day about it... Whoops.

Well, now that half of our readers are bored to death, I'm done. Excuse my nerdy-ness.
See you soon!
