Beer and running. It's a winning combination!

Have you ever heard of hashing? It's not what you think it is, trust me. It's actually a sport (if you can call it a sport... I guess, it's half sport) that combines running and drinking beer. A group of (21 and older) individuals meet to participate in themed events in which the participants run a certain distance, drink a beer, run again, drink another beer, and so on until they've run the entire distance. Needless to say, things get pretty silly.
We had the pleasure of hooking one hasher up with a dress for this Saturday's Red Dress Hash. Men and women alike will don their best (or worst, or silliest) red dress and run/drink a course around the greater Furman area. This whole concept is very strange to me but, in a way, makes total sense. Why not burn off the calories of the beer you drink while you're drinking it? Saves time, that's for sure.

Best discovery of 2010

Pandora's Cake radio station. We've been listening to it for days and it's really good! If you like Cake and the likes of the Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins, Presidents of the United States of America, and Weezer, get on Pandora and check it out.
